Title: Essence
Media: Acrylic and Spray on Paperboard
Size: 12" X 14"
With regard to my artistic endeavors with the visual arts, I consider this my magnum opus, and always will. This painting will always reside in my personal collection, as it is very special to me. Unlike other works, I am unable to provide you a written explanation in words of the many emotions that this captures for me and the complexities that it represents.
Here is a journal entry of mine from that time in my life that will best explain it.
It's like this-
I am just going through the motions in other aspects of my life until she is better.
She gets my full attention and all of my concern; everything else seems trivial right now.
I have always been a good multi-tasker, it is a trait that defines me.
However, This is not a time for me to concern myself with any other task; I have only one.
When Lynn is through this I will mend friendships that warrant mending,
tighten any family ties that may have loosened, immerse myself in my job again
and resume life as you know it.
